A DIY Videography Experience

Content Warning immerses players in a fully hands-on found footage style of videography. Armed with nothing but a working video camera, flashlights, and their wits, players must explore the Old World's tunnels filming anything strange or scary that crosses their path. This includes encountering the game's creepy physics-based monster inhabitants and investigating cursed artifacts rumored to house eldritch powers.

All footage is saved directly in-game to be later reviewed and edited into shareable video clips to upload to the in-game SpöökTube platform. This drives home the self-shot DIY aesthetic that horror buffs will appreciate.

To "win" at Content Warning, players must gain enough views and subscribers on SpöökTube over the course of their three day underground expedition. With finite supplies and the constant threat of grizzly demises, cooperation and group decision making becomes crucial to any team's survival. Fans of asymmetrical co-op titles like Dead by Daylight will find Content Warning's co-op chaos very entertaining.

While its indie budget shows at times, Content Warning scores high marks for its creative found footage loop gameplay and unnerving co-op antics. Fans of viral internet culture and multiplayer chills will get a kick out of both the Old World scares and SpöökTube celebrity aspirations. With some polish, its procedurally generated realms could offer countless replays.
