Saria Reclaimed

Even though Saria Reclaimed is very much still a work in progress as I write this, I think this is a lewd game with truly massive potential. It is a 2D lewd RPG with a card based combat system that once it firing on all cylinders I am sure is going to be epic. I will say that what we have as I write this is still a rather early build of the game think of it like a beta where we are playing a game to find bugs and other things that need balanced and worked on. Even with that being said, I still enjoyed my time with this and I think it is worth playing in its current state.

The Wandering Samurai

I remember the first time I stumbled across Saria Reclaimed. It had like a two sentence description of the plot, but that was enough to get me interested! We play as a character called Saria and she is a wandering samurai that lives in this desert town called Cardinal’s Heart. To quote the great Obi-Wan Kenobi, “you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy” as there are some real pieces of work in this town.

Wandering Her Own Path

As is the case with most lewd RPGs, Saria Reclaimed allows the player to decide what kind of character they want to be. You can play Saria as a badass who just gives into any desire that he has and goes full sex crazed, sword swinging maniac. Or you can go the other way which the game refers to as the bloody path of a pure maiden! For me, I found Saria to be a complex character and I have been trying to walk that fine line between the two, but I am sure as the game moves along development I will have to make a choice.

Playing The Hand You Are Dealt

I love the 2D RPG style gameplay that Saria Reclaimed has. It gives the game a bit of an old-school soul about it and I enjoyed exploring this town which has all the typical RPG stuff you would expect such as shops, people to talk to, and people to get quests from. The game has a car system where you can have 9 (I am pretty sure it is 9) cards that you can use in battle. You use willpower and initiative and different cards cost different amounts. At the moment the gameplay is rather unbalanced as I have been destroyed by some enemies and I have no idea why and then I have steamrolled over others. I do think the balancing with the combat is the games biggest issue, but to be fair, this is a work in progress.

A True Warrior!

As far as the whole style and vibe of Saria Reclaimed goes, I love it! The 2D sprites look fantastic, they have a kind of Super Nintendo, perhaps even an early PlayStation look to them. Saria is one of the hottest protagonists I have played as in a lewd game for a very long time! I love how they have given her this shredded body with the tightest set of abs you have ever seen and the way she loses clothing is awesome! The XXX stuff is a bit of a mixed bag, do not get me wrong the quality is incredible, and the artist truly out did themselves, but it is mostly hentai style porn and it is a personal preference thing, but I have never really been into the whole gross creatures banging a hot chick thing.

Pros:

• Saria is an awesome and sexy main character
• The 2D art in the game is fantastic!
• If you love your hentai, you will get a kick out of the XXX content
• Once balanced, I am sure the card system will be a lot of fun

Cons:

• At the moment the gameplay is very unbalanced and unintuitive
• Some of the monsters that bang our hero are gross
