How to Play MangaKa

MangaKa is a game that can be played in 30 minutes to an hour. Each player gets a sheet of drawing paper with four panels on it. The game consists of four rounds, each lasting five minutes. At the beginning of each round, players draw theme cards that give them topics to include in their comics, such as Giant Monsters, Love Triangles, Ninja, Cats, etc. They also draw trend cards that represent what is popular among readers at the moment, such as Kawaii (cute), Otaku (nerdy), Science Fiction (futuristic), Fantasy (magical), etc.

Players then have five minutes to draw their comics using the themes and trends they have drawn. They can use any style they want, as long as they follow the rules on the cards. For example, if they have a Kawaii trend card, they must make their characters look cute; if they have a Ninja theme card, they must include ninjas in their story.

At the end of each round, players show their comics to each other and explain what they have drawn. They also score points based on how well they used their themes and trends. The more themes and trends they used in their comic panels (up to three per panel), the more points they get. However, if they repeat a theme or trend from a previous round in their comic panel (except for one continuity theme that can be used throughout the game), they lose points.

The player with the most points at the end of four rounds wins the game.
