Party Maker

What a great idea for a game Party Maker is! I am surprised that I have not come across a game with a similar premise to this before. Granted there could be one out there, but if there is, I have never seen or played it. Anyway, this is certainly one of the more interesting titles that has grabbed my attention this year and today I wanted to take a closer look at it and let you know why if you have had fun flipping houses, working a power washer, or running a gas station, this game could be a lot of fun for you.

The Ultimate Party!

I would describe Party Maker as a kind of simulation style of game. Think of it in the same vein as stuff like House Flipper and Powerwash Simulator and you will have a good idea of what to expect here. There is a bit of story in the game which I think is pretty neat. Basically, you are a party planner and you help people throw epic parties, be it a birthday, wedding, or even something like a kickass Halloween party. You are working towards earning enough money to throw a truly epic party of your own. You get to hear from clients and get a bit of story about why they want you to throw them a party.

One Client At A Time

A huge part of the fun of Party Maker is trying to throw people the most epic party that you can. People will come to you and tell you what kind of party they want. They will let you know their budget and a general idea of what they like and what kind of style they want their party to be. It is then up to you to go about making this amazing party happen. It is the kind of thing that on paper (or on a computer or phone screen!) sounds like it would be very easy, but there is a bit of a challenge here as that budget you have to work with means you do more often than not have to really think before you spend each buck.

Making Memories

To make the ultimate party, Party Maker does not shy away from putting you to work! The game will give you many different items that you can use. These range from tables, lights, decorations, and more. You will be amazed at how much thought you put into making sure each aspect of the part is as perfect as it can be! However, one thing that I thought was a pretty neat touch was the fact that you have to clean up and organize a venue before you can start decorating it for the party. This adds an extra element of gameplay to things and it is kind of like when you have to clean houses in House Flipper.

Putting A Show No One Will Forget!

As far as the presentation of Party Maker goes, I think this is a very solid looking game. It has a real “simulator” style of look to it and most of the game is seen from the first-person and in the various menus. Where I think the game really gets the chance to shine in regards to the visuals are with the epic fireworks shows that you can put on. You are really going to make your clients happy when you put on a fantastic firework show!

If you are someone that has enjoyed simulator style games in the past, such as the ones I mentioned before like Power Wash Simulator and House Flipper. There is not a doubt in my mind that you will not have a whole lot of fun playing Party Maker. This is one of those games that is deceptively addictive where once you start playing, you just want to keep on going and trying to make more and more money! This could be one of the more surprising hits of 2022!

Pros:

  • It is a lot of fun to be a party planner
  • Your clients are pretty interesting people…. Some are even real weirdos!
  • There is a very addictive aspect to planning these parties
  • There is more to the gameplay than you would think

Cons:

  • If other “simulator” style games do nothing for you, this may not grab you
  • It can be a tad on the finicky side to lay certain items down
