New Beginnings in Japan

There is a lot to like about New Beginnings in Japan. To start with, I enjoyed the Japanese setting, even though I have played many other XXX games that are set in the land of the rising sun. Anyway, this is a lewd visual novel and while it is certainly not perfect, I do feel that out of the lewd visual novels I have played over the last couple of years, this one here is a bit on the underappreciated side if I am being honest with you. I can see why some might say that it is not amazing or “nothing special” however, to say this is bad is way too harsh and frankly not true!

Moving To A New Country Is A Big Step

The story of New Beginnings in Japan revolves around our main character, a young woman who is called, Kiara. Kiara has moved to Japan and she is just trying to build her life the best way that she can. I do feel that this alone would have made for a good story, but the game adds in a twist and that is that Kiara has “lost” some of her memories, there is a super odd reason for this happening and to be real with you, I kind of wish they did not do this aspect of the story as I think just trying to guide Kiara in her new life would have been more than enough.

The story of New Beginnings in Japan can be a bit on the convoluted side as this game features a ton of characters. Now, I will give the developer credit here as I kind of get what they were going for in this regard. However, I will say that it does mean that we have a whole bunch of one dimensional characters that we never really get to know. I would have preferred a smaller cast or even more attention put on Kiara as I think that she had the potential to be a very interesting main character. At the end of the day, we decide if we want her to be “good” or if we want to corrupt her and pretty much let anyone who wants to have sex with her actually be able to do it! I went the “good” route and I am pleased that I did.

A Slice Of Life In Japan

Going for a more realistic look was a smart move for New Beginnings in Japan. I liked the Japanese gardens and the parts of the game where you could clearly tell that Kiara was in Japan as it added a bit of authenticity to the game. Kiaria is a total babe and the game has a great selection of hot characters that she can interact with. The build of the game I played was not complete, but I was more than happy with the lewd content that I came across. I do think that there could have been more Asian looking characters as it is set in Japan after all, but at least the majority of the characters (bar a couple) are easy on the eyes.

Kiaria Is A Good Girl….

Well, she was in my playthrough. I liked how New Beginnings in Japan let us decide what kind of character Kiara would be. Those who want her to get banged by any random dude on the street can go that way if they like and that is cool. This is a lewd visual novel and the game will give you choices to make as the story progresses. To be fair, these choices are very easy to figure out. There was one that pretty much asked me if I wanted to let this random dude feel me up! As I was going for the “good” route, I knew that no was the answer to this. I am someone who enjoys a good lewd visual novel so I had fun with this and I am thankful there are no brutal grinding sandbox elements to the gameplay!

Pros:

• I really liked shaping Kiara’s life
• Having the game be set in Japan was neat
• This has some great visuals, especially the lewd content
• I liked how it was a “basic” visual novel as far as the gameplay goes

Cons:

• I do feel like the story needs a bit more focus
• There are perhaps too many characters for the game's own good

New Beginnings in Japan is an erotic visual novel that tells the story of Kiara, a girl with memory lapses. Kiara fought for the right to live well in her native country, but it didn't work out. Apparently in her lost past she did something for which she is shunned by everyone. So the girl made a decision to move to a new country and chose Japan. Life has really changed, however how exactly to decide only you.
