Crush Crush is a dating sim and clicker style of game that is far more addictive than you may think. It is also worth noting that you can get the more “modest” version of this game which is the default version of it. Or you can get the add on (which you may have to pay for) which will give you more “risqué” content if you know what I mean.

Doh! I Am Such A Goof!

The whole style of Crush Crush is one that I really do like. The idea of the game is like life really. You are on the quest to find your dream girlfriend and she is in this game somewhere. There is a ton of personality in this game and I really do love how bright and colorful the whole thing is. It is a real attack on the senses and while most clicker games are made with you not paying a ton of attention in mind. This one here is so fun and bright (and hot) that you do want to keep more of an eye on it.

The setup for meeting each of the girls is awesome. It usually ends in a disaster with you making the feel bad (unintentionally of course) or even breaking something of theirs! You feel like a total goof, but hey it gets your foot in the door and you can then start your quest of swooning them.

More Than You Think

I was very impressed with how… well deep is the wrong term to use here, but this is actually deeper than most other clicker and dating sim games. You see, while the game will do a lot of stuff on its own. You also have to get a job. This will; start with something easy and mundane like flipping burgers, but you can work your way up to something better which of course gives you more money. More money means that you can buy your special lady more things and take her nicer places.

You also have a hobby system that unlocks as you play this can be things like going dancing or skydiving. These are just ways that the game manages to flesh out the gameplay and force you to pay attention to what you are doing. While this is great, I found that once you do get to a certain level it becomes harder to progress. To be fair, all free-to-play style games tend to be like this.

I think that Crush Crush is a cute dating sim kind of game that has more gameplay than many people are willing to give it credit for. It can also be pretty sexy too which is rather nice. I can see some people getting super addicted to this, but for me I spent a few hours with it and found that I had my fill. Still it was a good and funny ride while it lasted and it makes this an easy game to recommend if you are in the mood for something cute.

From the get go, the first thing that needs to be said about Sad Panda’s title is that it is for a mature audience. This means people over the age of eighteen, or twenty-one depending on your country. That being said, Crush Crush is a dating simulator that derives most of its inspirations from hentai. Whereas the characters are designed in a japanese style of animation, the overall user experience and interface has a very friendly look, but don’t be fooled by it.

Released in 2016 amidst a plethora of games focused on the more adult market, Crush Crush, not only found its niche, but also a big following having accrued over one-million players since launch. The game was released for PC, Androids, Mac OS, and browsers, and while titles that rely on sexual content might not be well understood, or common in the gaming community Crush Crush is entertaining, to say the least.

Unlucky Guy

The storyline revolves around an unlucky protagonist that finds himself meeting people in the most absurd ways imaginable. Scripted like an ordinary adult movie from the 00’s, every encounter is different and provides players a new scenario to work with. Yes, some of them are outlandish, but mostly they are unpretentious, and just like in the adult industry the plot doesn’t intend to be great, it's there to get you down to business.

Basically the game starts as you mistakenly hit a girl who ends up in the hospital. During your time there is a cupid-like figure, named Q-Piddy, that will act as your guardian trying to get you… loved. From here, cupid informs you of the situation of the girl and what you can or should do to gain her affection. This is where the game shows that its dating simulation style is also wrapped around RPG features.

The Game of Love

As a game that simulates how dating is supposed to be it does a decent job of reflecting what girls, boys, and society in general find important when dating. Players have to develop their characters by finding jobs, developing hobbies and paying close attention to your interactions. Overall, the game makes a decent job of showcasing the importance of self-development in order to play the dating game.

Realism may border the extreme because there is a very lengthy amount of grind to be done if you are not willing to put some real money into the game. While this provides a good amount of bang for your buck, it can also become very time consuming. Especially because one of the most important concepts of the game revolves around time blocks based around real world time.

In the end the game doesn’t have a lot of action, and depends on patience, strategy, exploration and persistence. As it progressively becomes harder to attract the girls, it also becomes harder to meet the requirements needed to impress them. Just like real life the higher status a person is, the higher their requirements in a potential love interest becomes.

Verdict

Crush Crush is a NSFW game that simulates dating and tries to depict some of the nuances associated with it. Despite the grind, the core concepts of self-development to be able to become attractive, or charm people is well-portrayed. For the NSFW part, there’s nothing in here that you haven’t seen on the internet, but as a game based on sexual content Crush Crush works.
