Winter Memories

Winter Memories is one of the best lewd RPGs that you will ever have the pleasure to play. However, before you rush and play this game, I have to warn you that this is a sequel to another game and this is not just a “play this and skip the first game” kind of sequel either. This is a direct sequel that builds upon the ending of the first game. Rather than being down in the dumps about this, do not! You see that first game is fantastic and well worth playing on its own so you have a great couple of lewd RPGs to get stuck into!

So Nice In The Winter

As I said, Winter Memories is a direct sequel to Summer Memories. Our three “house girls” in Miyuki, Rio, and Yui are back in the charming little seaside town that they had so much fun at during the summer. However, it is now winter time and once again we are all getting to know each other a little bitter all the while having some fun, some XXX experiences, and perhaps even finding that special person! It is great stuff and while it is a lewd game, this has a lot of heart to it that makes it very charming.

The People Make The Story

Winter Memories has the same characters from the last game, but there are two new additions to the mix. These two characters did not grab me as much as the returning cast, but to be fair, I had already built up a relationship with the returning characters. I liked how fleshed out the characters are in this game. You really feel like you get to know these people and there is a bit of “slice of life” and easygoing vibe about many of the story and character paths that you will encounter.

A Great Blend Of Styles

Much like Summer Memories, Winter Memories is a lewd RPG that is played from a top down kind of isometric point of view. While I say it is an RPG, it does also have a bit of a point-and-click adventure game thing going on too. You have some exploration to do, visual novel like dialogue sections, mini-games, and a bunch of things to collect too. You always feel like you are moving forward in this game and I was honestly never stuck for what I needed to do next, there was always something that needed my attention and I always felt like I was progressing towards something good. The game is very, very similar to the first game, but there is just a bit more to do here.

I Think I Am In Love!

While there is some awesome XXX action and sex scenes in Winter Memories, this is a very charming game. I am not someone who is usually into the whole incest thing, but they somehow make it as wholesome as it can be, ok so “wholesome incest” is not a thing, but it was not something I got hung up on too much. Plus, there are plenty of townie girls here too. The art is some of the best you will see in this style. It has a high quality pixel art style to it and the portraits and the sex scenes are done with some truly amazing art. It is just a fantastic looking game in every regard.

Pros:

• All of the characters are likable
• There is a bit more to do than in its predecessor
• I loved the winter look of this seaside town
• Despite this being a very XXX game, it has a charming and wholesome vibe about it

Cons:

• You do need to play Summer Memories before this, I would go as far as to say it is essential!
• At the end of the day, it does have incest which can be a turn off for some people
