Twisted Memories

Twisted Memories is a lewd visual novel game that is fairly early in development as I write this, but I have very high hopes for this game. It all started when I read the description of the game which said that this “is a game about an ugly bastard that travels back in time and turns into his teenage self” No exaggeration here, I legit nearly spat out my coffee from laughing so hard when I read that, it has become a bit of a running joke with me and my friends, with one of us texting it to someone at least once a day!

If I Could Turn Back Time

That is right, a Cher reference to kick this Twisted Memories review off, but it is very appropriate. You see our main character is the “ugly bastard” that the game described and he is able to go back into the body of his teenage self, but keep all of the memories that he has as an older “ugly bastard”. The concept here is quite interesting and we have all thought about the going back to when we were younger but with the knowledge that we have now thing.

Banging Back To The Past!

The thing is our hero in Twisted Memories is not someone like Marty McFly that is trying to do right by his family in the past. Nope, our guy has some deep resentment towards his family for the way that he was treated and he is going to have a harem and have all the chicks begging for his giant schlong! The crazy thing is, this ugly bastard kind of justifies why he is doing what he is doing. At the end of the day, most of what he wants to do is incest, but it is also revenge!

Waiting For The Right Moment

As the description of Twisted Memories was so in our faces, I was sure that this would be a fast paced, more lighthearted kind of lewd visual novel, but that is not the case here at all. You go through long periods of time without getting to interact, just reading, reading what most of the time are our “ugly bastards” inner thoughts. It makes for a very slow paced game and I can see some people being turned off by this, I must admit, I was starting to lose interest before a lewd scene popped up!

Having All The Power Now

The game is not joking when it calls the protagonist of Twisted Memories an ugly bastard! He is a decent enough looking guy when he is back in time, but man is he ugly as an older man. The character renders are a bit of a mixed bag, they have got exaggerated bodies, but the proportions are like way off with some of the characters. The sex scenes that I saw were animated and they even had sound which was nice. However, I feel that there is not enough XXX content in the build of the game I played, especially with how much reading it makes you do.

Pros:

• That description is freaking hilarious
• The story was deeper than I thought it would be
• Some of the character renders are great
• The idea of going back into your younger body is very interesting

Cons:

• There is not much interactivity in this game at all
• It is a very slow paced story and there is not much XXX content

Twisted Memories is an erotic visual novel that tells the story of a twisted old man whose mind unknowingly goes back in time. How much can a teenager whose mind has been taken over by a senile soul do? Perhaps the hero will try to become rich and successful? Absolutely not! The old pervert will try to seduce every attractive lady from his past and you will help him do it.
