Here we have for you a whole selection of Sylvester Stallone games based on some of his most iconic movies! Stallone, truly is one of the greatest action heroes of all time and in the 80s he was on such an epic roll. Thanks to recent roles such as the Escape Plan series and his small part in Guardians of the Galaxy, old Sly is still a very popular actor. There are way more games based on Stallone movies than you would think, but here are a few of our favorites!

One of the best Sylvester Stallone games and a true hidden gem is Rambo: First Blood Part 2 for the Sega Master System. We would go one step further and say that this is one of the best Master System games the console has to offer. Think of classic arcade games like Commando or Ikari Warriors and you will have a good idea of what to expect with this top down scrolling shooter where Rambo proves what a badass he is! Check this out if you want an old school game that is great and a little less well know.

As we just looked at Rambo, you know that Rocky has to be next on our list of Sylvester Stallone games! There have been a few Rock games over the years, but the one we are going for is Rocky: Legends. This is a fantastic boxing game that leans more into arcadey territory than sim and it is a boxing game that anyone can pick up and play. It features many of the iconic moments from the Rocky movies, but it is when you are playing with a buddy that this game really shines. If you want to play through the actual Rocky saga, then we suggest that you check out the game that came before this which is simply called, Rocky.

One of the more famous Sylvester Stallone games has to be Cliffhanger. This game was released on pretty much anything that could play a video game back when the movie was released in the early 90s. This is a classic side scrolling action game and while we feel that the 16-bit versions are the best, the other versions of Cliffhanger are worth checking out too. The fact that the NES got a game this late in its life is kind of cool and those 3D snowboarding sections of the Sega CD version showed just how much power that add-on had!

I Am The Law!!!! Sorry about that, but we had to unleash our inner Judge Dredd as that game had to make an appearance on our best Sylvester Stallone games list. Ok, so the Judge Dredd game based on the 90s Judge Dredd movie may not be an all time classic, but it does have its moments. It is one of those games that is so bad it is kind of good and it is worth having a look at if you want to see a 16-bit game that is not as celebrated or as well known as some of the classics. If you got a kick out of the rather campy nature of this movie, you may have some fun with the game.

One last game we want to highlight as we talk about Sylvester Stallone games is the fun and very underrated, Rambo: The Video Game. This is a first-person on rails action game that is as brutal and bloody as the last two Rambo movies were. Honestly, at the time this was released, licensed games based on movies were being phased out so the fact this even exists is kind of cool!

It is kind of surprising just how many games based on Stallone movies there are. There have been tons of game consoles, handhelds, and computers over the years and we have had a lot of fun sharing a few choice picks with you when it comes to what are some of the more interesting Sylvester Stallone games.
