Today I am talking about Summer-Life in the Countryside- Outing this covers the base game, but also the DLC. This is a really cool lewd point and click adventure style of game that I think has a lot going for it. It is the kind of game that with just a little bit more work could honestly be a 9.5/10 style of game! Still, I decided to review this as I feel the base game along with the outing DLC makes for a much fuller package and this is the way you need to experience the game in my humble opinion.

Loving In The Japanese Countryside

Before we get to the DLC, we do need to talk about the base game that is part of Summer-Life in the Countryside- Outing package. The basics are that we have this big thick childhood friend, Hazuki who lives in a rural area and her mother is heading out of town so we are asked to go and stay with her to keep her company! Of course, with her being such a babe, we try our luck to win her affection and get sex on the regular.

Getting To Know You

In going back and playing the base game for the first time in a couple of years I had forgotten how our childhood sweetheart was lacking a personality! I was hopeful that Summer-Life in the Countryside- Outing would have fixed that or given her a bit more depth. She is pretty much just sex on legs and there is not a great deal of storytelling in the game. The DLC adds in some new locations, but I wish that they would have put more effort into the story. You get the impression that there is a deeper story with these two as they have such a good connection, but the game never dives into it.

Building Up My Stamina

We are playing as the luckiest dude in the world! I know that I described Summer-Life in the Countryside- Outing as a point and click adventure game, but there is not much in the way of “adventure”. You are basically trying to raise her stats so that she will have sex with you, but you can get blowjobs and hand jobs like there is tomorrow. You can buy her items which is quite addictive these range from slutty clothing to a knockoff Nintendo Switch console. Some people may find doing the same thing over and over again a bit grindy, but it never bothered me.

More Banging For Your Buck

As far as what is new in Summer-Life in the Countryside- Outing, you get a decent amount of stuff. You get a new ending which is done in the form of a very well drawn and animated XXX scene. There are also “outing” events where you two get to go to different places such as going to a summer festival, swimming, and going on a camping trip. There have also been a few quality of life improvements added to the game as well. You now have an easy to access outdoor map and you can also fast travel which is a godsend as our guy walks like he has a stone stuck in his shoe!

I really enjoyed the base game of this when it came out a couple of years back and I think that the Summer-Life in the Countryside- Outing bundle makes for a great package. It gives you a bit more content to enjoy and once again the highly detailed pixel art is sure to be something you get a huge kick out of. I think that they have pretty much nailed the gameplay and to be honest with you, if we get more DLC or even a sequel, I hope that it focuses more on the story between these two.
