So, I have spent a considerable amount of time with the Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack demo, so much so that I am pretty sure I have done every single thing that is possible in it! Think of this more of a preview, a preview of one of the strangest, but most alluring lewd visual novel dating sims that is also a horror story I have ever experienced. There is just something special about this game, it well and truly has the “it” factor and I found the whole thing very, very captivating.

The Ghost Of The Past

The title Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack refers to one of the characters, the titular Sunny Day Jack. From what I gather, Jack was an 80s TV star and now his ghost is following you around and he has taken a real shine to you. He promises to be your best friend until the end (who does this guy think he is, Chucky?) however, his cool, happy 80s demeanor hides a secret dark side that makes him capable of doing anything and I mean anything in order to get what he wants!

No One Is Going To Stand In His Way!

As Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack is a lewd visual novel/dating sim, there is more to this story than just the potentially murderous ghost of an 80s TV show! We also have two main love interests and what I like about this is that they are not just randoms, these are characters that our MC has a real connection with. We have Shaun who is super cool and our former college roommate and our current best friend. We also have Ian who was our best friend when we were kids and our first boyfriend and we have reconnected. It makes for a very messy love triangle kind of thing and I am very excited to see where it all goes.

It Is Not All Sunshine And Rainbows

The twist here with Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack is that this lewd visual novel/dating sim is also a horror story and it is kind of messed up. The game straight up warns you that the story dives into stuff like childhood trauma, religious stuff, death, grief, loss, and mental health struggles in general. It makes for a game that may be very, very hard to play through as these are some very serious and hard to deal with topics. However, the execution here is what ties it all together and it makes this a game that you will never forget!

Ripping Out Your 80s Nostalgia Heart!

The presentation in Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack is truly something else. This is an incredible looking game! The characters are all drawn with a ton of personality and they are brought to life with some fantastic voice acting which makes this story even better. There is a great mixture of sexy images along with brutal and hard hitting horror stuff that is well and truly going to get under your skin. It is truly remarkable what a AAA XXX product that they have crafted here and I cannot wait for the full thing to be done.

Even though as I write this I have only played the demo of Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack. This is right at the top of my list of games to keep an eye on. The mixture of lewd with horror has been done before, but this ties it together incredibly well. The whole setup here had me on the edge of my seat and while there is certainly some hot content here, you also are always nervous about what could and will go wrong. As I have just spent a lot of time with the demo, I cannot give this a score, but it would honestly be about a 9/10 as that is how into it I was!
