Small On Top

How is Small On Top not classed as one of the best gay furry RPGs? I had never heard of this game before I stumbled across it thanks to a friend and I was completely blown away by how good it was! This is just stunning in every regard. It has some breathtaking gay furry artwork that is sure to get your motor running (if this is your kink of course) however, it has some very witting writing and when it all clicked with me why the game is called what it is, I nodded my head and said “touché” to the developer!

Lost In The Woods

In Small On Top, we play as a little rabbit looking dude that is referred to as the adventurer. We have no idea how the heck we ended up in these woods, but we are going to try and find out. Look, the whole not knowing who you are, what you are doing, where you are thing has been done to death. However, the charm and the furry setting we have here make it a whole lot of fun. Plus, our little rabbit dude adds a few members to his quest as the story progresses and this adds a lot more depth to the story. I will say the first ten minutes or so are a bit on the slow side, but you have to pay attention here so you know the basics of what are going on.

Hey, I See What You Did There!

A lewd visual novel lives or dies by its story (unless it has the most epic XXX scenes ever of course) and Small On Top has some of the best and most witty writing I have seen in a gay furry visual novel. I would say that it has a kind of Undertale vibe about it in regards to the humor, it never tries too hard to be funny, but you can tell there are certain parts (“my ass is killing me”) that the developer wrote, knowing full well the player would get a chuckle out of them. The characters in the game are well written and the whole vibe of the game is just something that clicked with me right from the start.

Now I Get It!

I may be a moron, but it did take a little while for the title of Small On Top to click me with. What we have here is a fun way of poking fun at the whole “tops” and “bottoms” thing. Usually, in a game like this, you have the big hulking dudes banging the smaller males. That is not the case here, the charm comes from this little unassuming guy banging all these big tough furry beasts. There is a scene a bit deeper into the game where you are banging this giant muscle bound horse and it is awesome. The art in the game is just so well done, but even the pixel art that makes up the actual game has a ton of charm and personality to it as well.

Staying On The Path!

Small On Top is most certainly best described as an RPG, but it is a very simple RPG. You have to take on quests where you find stuff, talk to a certain person, and so on and the game does a wonderful job of making sure that you know what you are supposed to do. There is a bit of party and inventory management, but it is nothing that you are going to have a hard time with. I will say that the game is a tad on the easy side, but I am going to class that as a positive as it helps the game with its charming style that it has.

Pros:

• This is one of the best gay furry RPGs I have ever played
• The small stature of the MC is awesome
• It has some epic XXX scenes
• The RPG gameplay is fun and very easy to get to grips with

Cons:

• The whole gay furry thing may not click with you
• While I liked the simple gameplay, it may be a tad on the easy side for some people
