RE: Hero Academia

You know, I would probably have to say that RE: Hero Academia is the best lewd My Hero Academia parody that I have played. As I write this, the game is not yet complete, but it is showing a great deal of promise and if you are a fan of MHA, you are going to really appreciate what the developer has done here with this game. I do think someone who is not a big fan could play it too, but all of the awesome references would be lost on them and that would be a real shame.

If I Could Turn Back Time!

Am I really at a point where I am pulling out Cher references? Anyway, the story that RE: Hero Academia is telling is pretty damn awesome. We play as an academy student that is at the academy learning to be a hero with many of the characters that we know and love. The twist here is that we die. Yup, the main character in the game dies, but he is sent back in time to relive his life and try and stop the events that led to his death from happening. This is pretty damn awesome and I like how there is a clear end goal in sight for the story.

Staying True To Themselves

I have played many parody style lewd games over the years where the characters may have the look, but they do not act anything like the character they are based on. That is not the case with RE: Hero Academia. In this game, the characters do act similar to how they would in the show. Of course, things are exaggerated here as this is a XXX game after all. However, they are not so radically different that it will take it out of you if you are a huge fan.

Familiar, But Different

Much like the way the characters act, RE: Hero Academia also has characters that have the right look too. These characters look great and are a fun parody of the characters that many of us know and love. I think that they did a good job here in making them very familiar, but they are also a tad different too. The thing is they are not different because of a stylized change. They are different because some of them are just a tad off, this is especially evident if there is some animation happening, basic things like legs and arms can look really off and it can take you out of the moment.

All The Ingredients For A Good Meal

The story is good, the game looks decent enough and I am pleased to say that even in this unfinished state, RE: Hero Academia is showing a great deal of promise in terms of the gameplay. You have to click around the different areas to try and get to the right place at the right time. There is also a combat system in the game, a system where you can use each tool that you have once a day and there is also the visual novel aspect of the game too. There are many different aspects to the gameplay and they are all handled pretty well. Like most lewd games that have a sandbox element to them, you may find it hard to know where to click every now and again, but it is not terrible like in some other games.

Pros:

• I love the way it pays respect to the MHA franchise
• Seeing these famous characters in this light is a lot of fun
• The lewd content you come across is awesome
• I like how there are many different elements to the gameplay

Cons:

• A few of the visuals and animations lack polish
• You may not get the most out of this if you are not familiar with My Hero Academia
