Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown

Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown is an incredible, action-packed 3D platformer. Steeped in Persian history, the game puts players in control of an acrobatic character named Sargon, the youngest and newest of 7 immortals. As one of these immortals, you are tasked with bringing back a kidnapped prince of Persia, Ghassan. To make things more complicated, the person who did the kidnapping was your own mentor.

Amazing Combat

Ubisoft really nailed combat in the game. Combat is a big part of any Metroidvania, but it isn’t always pulled off with such polish. Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown gives players a generous set of moves right from the outset, instead of forcing players to earn them over time.

While it is still necessary to level up the character and gain new skills over time, having some strength at the beginning makes gameplay itself so much more enjoyable.

The combat itself is also beautifully designed. Sargon is a very fast character, making it easy to get ahead of moves from enemies, but that speed is balanced by how hard-hitting enemies are. If an enemy does hit your character, it hurts a lot.

This makes it important to take even smaller enemies seriously. The game also has some incredible combos that reward players for their skill by letting them do fun things. This includes things like juggling enemies so they can’t fight back, or attack larger enemies from behind their own defenses.

Stunning Graphics

Most platformers have pixelated graphics and a simple style at best. In the footsteps of some of previous games in the series like the 2003 hit Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, the game has incredibly beautiful graphics. The backgrounds are highly detailed, making you feel as if you really are exploring ancient Persia. The map sizes are generous, and the animations for combat make even the most mundane moves feel powerful.

Combined with the cheerful sound effects, and the result is an atmospheric location for the game to take place in.

4 Difficulty Modes

The game adds on to its value even more by giving players 4 different difficulty modes. This allows newer players to get used to the game with an easy mode, while giving more experienced players a chance to test their skills with a more difficult level.

Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown takes this a step further by offering the player the chance to edit enemies as well. Players can decide their power and abilities with this option, so they can try different things in combat.
