Overcooked 2 is back with a richer and more fun second chapter! There are many innovations that the developers of Ghost Town have introduced, which are not reduced to simple new recipes or new maps.

The goal of each match, in Overcooked! 2, is to satisfy the exorbitant demands of a very hungry clientele, who insists on asking for big salads, tons of sushi and sashimi, pasta dishes, tacos, ravioli and succulent burgers. Each stage obviously has a very specific set of recipes to prepare: usually a dish with a couple of variations. Smooth salad with tomato and cucumber, hamburger with cheese and salad or without gruyere (for those who want to keep fit). The job of those who work in the kitchen is to grab the ingredients, chop them, cook them (when needed), assemble the dish and then present it on the food tray. The sooner you succeed in the enterprise, the better it is: being quick is essential to collect a generous tip, which at the end of the game will significantly influence the overall assessment (strictly from one to three stars). Ideally, the operation might seem simple, but as we know in the kitchen it is always a great fuss: in order to be able to prepare all the dishes and satiate so the numerous patrons must tackle a production chain and divide the tasks.

Overcooked 2 is a game designed to test a close-knit group of friends, and when played in four, it is able to maximize its potential. Do not think, however, that it is very easy to "pull in" the first one who passes, someone who has little desire to commit himself and only manages to make a mess: to play, you need attention and respect for the rules, otherwise a funny messy noise comes out for a few minutes and little more. At that point, indeed, it is better to be a close-knit couple than a disorganized quartet: even in two Overcooked! 2 is fun and challenging at the right point, maybe just a little anxious for Hi-Score maniacs. Notwithstanding, then, that you can also play alone, alternating however with the control of two virtual chefs. This is not the solution we would recommend, but for a little training it can be done.

The multiplayer holds up very well and you don't notice a lot of lag (even if a lot depends on your internet connection), the servers keep the beat but you miss the lack, as mentioned before, of a voice chat that would allow, if you didn't face the adventure with people you know, to manage the service well. On the other hand, Overcooked 2, even if in an imaginative and colorful way, makes the best of a restaurant with its times, its orders to be finished and the various difficulties that can arise when the whole is not well managed by a chef of brigade that gives its orders with severity and justice.

Overcooked 2 is a party game really successful, fun and able to create adrenaline-fueled challenges between friends and strangers, if played online. With very simple mechanics, the game developed by Team17 is able to keep you busy for many hours, without any problem: you can read the monotony of the soundtrack, but often covered by the inevitable coordination between friends who find themselves on the sofa play together in coop, and the little variety of kitchens on offer, which is however increased, as are the recipes, compared to the previous chapter. Let us be clear, we do not want to find the hair in the egg that we are going to use for our chocolate pancakes, but simply to indicate some slightly blurred shades that for a third chapter could make Overcooked a truly unforgettable game.
