I am a big fan of this series and when I heard that NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise was going to be a thing, I knew I had to get into it. If you enjoy visual novels and like cute boys, actually that should be cute catboys! Then you are going to have a lot of fun with this. From what I have seen, I think that the game has a lot of heart and it is trying not to take itself too seriously and that is something I do like.

A Café And A House? I Will Take It?

The story of the game is that your grandfather has sadly passed away. However, if you have played any of these games before, NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise will not surprise you by having a twist.

So, you inherit your grandfather’s café and house and you want to make the best of it you can, but things are tough. You need some help, but a local school gets in touch with you and offers you the help of four helpful guys. You say yes and when they arrive, they are catboys!

Each of the four catboys in NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise has their own personality that you can experience. We have Laurier who is a handsome guy and he gets his work done, but he likes to relax and take things easy. Fennel is a very hard worker and is always willing to go above and beyond to get his work done and seek your approval. Sage is the tough guy of the group; he is a bit older and despite being a bit “rough” he does have a heart of gold. Dill is a real fun catboy and one who can make friends with anyone as he is so easy to get along with.

So Many Ways To Go

When I started looking into NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise I was already impressed with the thought that each catboy was going to offer a different story route for you to experience. That alone would have been great, but I was wrong. What you are actually getting here is four different routes for each catboy! That is pretty damn awesome and it gives the game a ton of replay value. The way the “gameplay” works here is that you get to chat with them and you can steer the conversation and relationship in different ways thanks to your choices. It is pretty much your typical visual novel stuff and I am fine with that.

How Can It Get Any Better?

I swear that each time I play or check out a new visual novel game, I am sure that it is the pinnacle of how good these games can look! What we have here is a fantastic-looking visual novel. Each of the catboys looks great and I like how each one is actually based on a real species of cat.

They all look cute in their own right and you will want to see at least a couple of routes with each of them. While the character designs are great, the locations here are just fantastic and are full of little details that make the world the game is set in feel much more real.

If you like catboys then you will like what NEKOPARA - Catboys Paradise is offering. I think that this is a very well-made visual novel that has a lot of charm and heart, but at the end of the day, if catboys are not something you like, I cannot see this being something that will hold your attention. Still, for those of us that do like this kind of thing, this is a very fun and cute game and well worth checking out.
