Island romance

Wealthy relatives can't provide coveted relationships and feelings of love, but they can give you a ticket to an island paradise in the ocean, where crowds of girls in bathing suits are always responsive to offers to talk. Can the protagonist find his love among the hot sands and sea coolness?

Girl and Dream Appearance

The most important part of the gameplay is the character editor. Detailed island styling, the ability to choose absolutely any skin tone, facial oval, fullness of the lips, blush color, hair and eyes. However, not only for girls is available editor, your main character can be configured just the same. A variety of clothing options will vary the choice and allow you to get the character as close to the player's own appearance as possible.

Character can be created

In addition to the appearance, you can also customize the character of the heroines. Heroines with different characters can respond differently to different topics, just as they can often refuse erotic interactions or not at all.

Finding topics and a minefield of conversations

The gameplay is built around talking to girls, so topics of conversation will have to be found. Literally. Topics are scattered throughout the location and are divided into simple and special. Special topics increase the level of friendship with the girls, while simple topics raise the level by fewer points.

However, topics aren't the only way to improve relationships, there are four other ways to interact besides them:

• Simple conversation - does not affect anything, but allows you to get to know the girl better. Everything you learn will be displayed in her profile in the menu.
• "I want to know about..." - Get to know the object of your interest better and give better advice to improve the relationship.
• Going out - take your girlfriend to the pier or beach, maybe she'll even want to come over for tea.
• Love - improve your relationship and test the possibilities of a bed with the girl you've achieved. Frequent bed interactions open up new positions.

Koikatsu Sunshine is one of those games that I have been meaning to get around to playing for ages now! I finally had a bit of free time over the weekend and thought I would give it the old college try and I think that there is some good here. It is your typical illusion game in many ways and I can see why some people are really into what the game is offering. However, I can also see the flip side of this where some people find it rather lacking in the gameplay department.

A Very Strange Request

The plot of Koikatsu Sunshine makes pretty much zero sense, but I kind of dug that if I am honest with you. We have moved in with our auntie who happens to be the headmistress of an all-girls school. We are sent there not just to study, but to teach the inexperienced lades that are at this school the art of love…. Yeah, that is kind of strange, but it does work and I think as a premise I have heard a lot worse.

Exploring The Land

One of the things that made me excited to try out Koikatsu Sunshine was the way you could explore the town from a 3rd person perspective. While the idea of this is great, they do not exactly give you a ton to do here. It is fun to explore, but you are ultimately just trying to find girls to chat to so that you can improve your relationship with them which will ultimately hopefully lead to a lewd scene. There is no real variation to the gameplay, no exciting or naughty quests to go on, just you running up to girls and talking to them. It is not bad by any means, but it also may lose its appeal pretty quickly too.

Making Her Your Own!

What most of you guys will be spending the majority of your time within Koikatsu Sunshine will be the character creation aspect. Like most illusion games, the character creation suite here is truly something remarkable. The options at your disposal are near limitless and I would wager that many people will spend more time here than in the actual game! I always like making characters and this is one of the better tools that lets you do that which I have experienced in a lewd game.

Pros:

• I thought the premise of the story had some charm to it
• I am a big fan of the bright visuals
• The character creation aspect of the game is amazing
• I liked walking around in a 3D world

Cons:

• I can see why some people do get bored of the game
• You can pretty much have your fill of the actual game in about an hour
