With a title like Christine Watson, my mind was racing as to what kind of game I was going to be experiencing. This game is a lewd visual novel and it is one that has a really mixed reception online. People either seem to really like it or they hate it and I can kind of see why from both points of view if I am being honest with you. I managed to play through the first chapter of the game and I wanted to talk about my experiences with the game.

An Erotic Slice Of Life!

The idea of Christine Watson is that we play as the titular character, Christine. She has just moved to a new place with her family and this is a rather wealthy kind of area and she wants to fit in and have fun, but this requires money. I thought that this was going to be the kind of game where we just offer our services for money. I think that there is something to the story and our main character is very interesting, but the story does have some problems with the execution.

What The Heck Is Going On?

The main problem with Christine Watson is that while there are some story threads, like her being forced to bang the old dude that I think are interesting. The translation here is rather challenging to understand and there are many pages of dialogues that I had a hard time following. It is like the idea of a decent story is here and they had an idea of the way they wanted the story to go, but they did not know how to get from point A to B, and after a while, I started to lose interest in what Christine had going on.

In The Eye Of The Beholder

There are some character renders in Christine Watson that I really like such as the main character and her daughter. However, some of the character renders are really ugly, the old man and even the son are just so bizarre looking, seeing a hot woman have to bang an ugly guy like this is not appealing at all and the “animation” when it does happen is like one frame and then it is a still image again. However, there are some people that do love the character renders so it is a personal thing.

Trying To Get Her Slice Of The Pie

As Christine Watson is a lewd visual novel, you know what the gameplay is going to consist of. This is not a choice heavy kind of visual novel, as a matter of fact, you spend more time than not just reading and trying to make sense of what is going on, and by the time you do, it is like the story has moved onto something else or something with a different character is now going on. The “gameplay” is not horrible, but I think as I had such a hard time following the story, it lost the appeal it had at the start quite quickly.

Pros:

• The titular character is hot
• At first, I was interested in her story
• There is a decent amount of lewd content here
• Those who have played it say that the second part of the story is good

Cons:

• I found the story hard to follow
• Some of the character designs, especially the men are kind of ugly
