The Great Outdoors

Cabela’s North American Adventures takes place all over North America and will show you a great many beautiful locations over the course of the game’s campaign. From dense forests and woods to waterside hunting grounds, you’ll see it all.

The game is presented like an FPS, but this isn’t Halo. You’ll be participating in a realistic hunting simulator game where you’ll do bird calls, stalk prey, and even use things like hunter’s nests to post up in trees and wait for the perfect shot.

Your Own TV Show

The career mode of Cabela’s North American Adventures sees you playing a hunter and an accompanying cameraman as you film your hunts for a TV show. You are able to pick the shots, set up the hunts, and be presented with a montage of all of your actions at the end.

It’s a great twist on the standard hunting game, and it’s a lot of fun to see your work at the end.

A Multitude of Modes

This game has a few other game modes to enjoy outside of the campaign, and those are Big Game Tournament, Shooting Galleries, and Hunter Challenges. Big Game Tournament is a timed hunting trial, while the Shooting Galleries are the old-school-style of hunting games and the Hunter Challenges are tough-as-nails trials for seasoned hunters.

There is also a multiplayer mode that allows you to team up with a friend to take on the game’s many hunts. Going in with a hunting partner is much more fun, and being able to strategize with a teammate adds a lot to the game.

This is My Rifle, This is My Gun

Perhaps the best part of Cabela’s North American Adventures is the brand-new gun customization system that was introduced. You have your standard rifle that you begin the game with, but you can further customize it to suit any situation with hundreds of different parts.
