Broken Colors

Let me start by saying that the less you know about Broken Colors the better your experience of it will be. As I write this, I am patiently awaiting the next chapter of this gay horror story. This was such a creepy experience and something that I cannot recommend highly enough to you fine folks today. I am a really big horror fan and this is one of the best lewd games that has horror in it that I have ever played and so far we only have this first chapter!

The setting of Broken Colors is at first a convenience store as this is where we work. We get to name our MC and choose their pronouns, but they are clearly supposed to be a dude. Anyway, we are at work on a particular slow day and it is just us and our fellow co-worker and we are just doing the same old same old, but we give the wrong person our attention as we end up with a creepy stalker.

A Small Cast Brings It All Together!

One of the things that I love about Broken Colors is that the cast is relatively small. As well as ourselves, we have our co-worker Rasmus, the delivery guy we always shoot the crap with, and a “customer” called Damon. There is a bit of a mystery aspect about who the real stalker is at first, but the whole game has this very creepy vibe about it. Each of the characters and our interactions with them are very well written and little by little, you feel like you are being brought into this compelling world.

They Are All Twisted

I love what has been done with the visual style of Broken Colors. The game has a very twisted and creepy vibe about it all, the character designs, especially the delivery guy and Damon just have major creeper vibes about them that kind of send shivers down your spine. The game has a couple of jump scares, but there is just this very jagged and edgy look about the whole thing that gives the game a style all of its own which I think helps add to the creepy thing that they have going on. Now, the game even in the first chapter is creepy, but from what I have read of the developer, they have some really twisted stuff planned for this game so that may be something to watch out for.

A Real Private Dick

We pretty much have a lewd visual novel going on here with Broken Colors. We just read the story, get creeped out, and try to figure out what the right thing to say and do is. The writing here is so good that it legit makes you feel uncomfortable in some places.

This is especially true with some of the choices that you have to make as there were a few occasions as I was playing the game where I was not really happy about any of the choices that I had to make! It certainly makes for a very interesting and engaging gameplay experience that is for sure!

Pros:

• The cast of characters are all very well written
• I love the creepy art style
• The character faces express many different emotions
• I was legit wondering who the real stalker was for quite some time

Cons:

• The game may be a bit twisted and extreme for some people
• No word on when we can expect that second chapter to drop!
