Rock 'n Roll Racing is an arcade combat racing game. Combat plays a heavy role in the game, as each car has a frontal weapon, such as a laser or missile, and a drop weapon, such as spikes or mines. As you complete races, you get more money to upgrade your car.

Interplay has combined two of the world's greatest inventions, racing and rock n'roll, and the result is Rock’n Roll Racing. While the name may suggest races between your favorite rockstars, this is traditional racing with some of the best music ever heard in a videogame. You'll speed around six different tracks in five unique vehicles as you listen to an amazing soundtrack: George Thorogood's “Bad to the Bone,” Black Sabbath's “Paranoid,” “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf, Deep Purple's “Highway Star,” and Henry Mancini's “Peter Gunn.”

And if that isn't enough, you'll have an impressive arsenal of weapons that will come in handy if you find yourself trailing in a race. Players race one of five large-tired hotrods through seven winding tracks, viewed from an up-close isometric perspective. The game's edgy style is emphasized by forgiving physics, powerful vehicle weaponry, and an old school rock soundtrack.
