Step through the Gate of Time and straight into the Shogun Dynasty in Mystical Fighter. As a member of the Mystical Fighters, you'll venture to a place known as The Underworld in a battle to defeat the Evil Lord Kabuki and save your kingdom. You'll have to use your magic and martial arts skills as you come face-to-face with an army of Kabuki's henchmen. If you're feeling a little overwhelmed, recruit a friend to join the Mystical Fighters' cause and take on Kabuki's minions as a tandem. If you're strong enough, brave enough, and clever enough, you just might find yourself in a showdown with Kabuki himself, will you be able to free your kingdom?

Mystical Fighter game has the coolest move. You can actually grab enemies by their feet and spin around in a circle like a little hurricane, knocking over anyone and anything in your path. You have to watch out though because holding them uses a little bit of your health, and it keeps going down for as long as you spin.

If you aren't duly impressed by the above paragraph, Mystical Fighter game offers some other interesting moves, like the air throw. You can grab an enemy, jump in the air, hit attack and then your guy will pound him into the ground and gracefully jump away in a ball. If you hit attack again while your guy is bouncing away, you can turn it into a jump kick for even more damage. How sweet is that? Plus you're rewarded with a great pain yell from the guy you just pounded into the ground, making it totally worth the trouble. You also have the standard punches, jump kick, sliding kick, and throw. There are a couple weapons you'll find periodically like a fan and a Jitte.

And if all that wasn't enough, you have five levels of magic attacks. It's kind of like Golden Axe where you can use a lower level attack if you want, or you can save them up and build up to a level 5 (if you can find 5 scrolls). Each magic attack even has a different graphic, from a huge gong banging, to a Ghost Samurai that cuts everyone in half.

Mystical Fighter game looks decent for it's time. There's not really any parallax in the background, but you don't notice. The characters are all average sized and have ok animation. Basically the graphics are fine but won't wow you; the game's hook is the gameplay.
