Micro Machines the original, is one of the most played videogames of all time spreading across various consoles and computers worldwide.

Based from the top-down view, this version places various types of miniature vehicles into various small locations, generally around the domestic home and work place. A total of around twenty-eight tracks are offered set over locations including bubble baths, morning tea tables, breakfast tables, gardens and other settings. A large selection of “wacky” characters are also available from the kicked back style of Jethro, Fonze try-hard Spider, bottle glasses Mike, Over-weight intellectual Walter, cross-eyed punk Dwayne and six other characters.

These levels were packed with variation. The Snooker tables had the track painted on, although this was open to deviation (as were most levels), and had you racing through the pockets and across the rim of the table. Tanks raced as well, with the chance of shooting out your opponent if they got directly in front of you. The desktop levels included binders to jump across, pencil-sharpeners to avoid, and lots of visual jokes in the open homework.

Get ready to blast through the various rooms of the house at 210 mph. Race eight different machines including tanks, speedboats, 4x4s, and helicopters. Take on the challenges of 28 different circuits. Race on all the circuits solo, or team-up with some of your friends and compete as team. No matter how you race, you need to keep an eye out for obstacles like cereal pieces, fruit pieces, and the bathtub drain. You will get big fun on a small scale with Micro Machines.

Viewed from overhead with small graphics, the races include up to 4 cars. In one player challenge mode you race through the 21 tracks in a set order, selecting your 3 opponents as you go along (adding a fair amount of strategy – ideally you should aim to eliminate the better CPU cars early on), eliminating one after every third race (assuming that you can finish in the top 2 of a race within your 3 lives). If you win 3 races in a row without using a continue you get a time-trial race which can earn you an extra life.

The range of vehicles in Micro Machines is also quite extreme from the land-based sports cars, 4x4s, turbo wheels, tanks to other funky vehicles such as choppers and powerboats. Play is also available in one or two player modes with head to head satisfying satisfy one-on-one player gaming for single players and challenge pitting single players in a four-player tournament. The multi-player modes are tournament and single and provide some of the most insane multi-player battle.
