Hello Readers, JGCD here and just like the Action Replay and the Game Genie, this isn't freeware. Not everyone has a Joystick(s)/Controller(s) to play they're freeware games (roms) but those who do should read this. Before you buy a joystick/controller to play these games, make sure it says on the box or plastic it comes in, that the joystick/controller can play rom games. I personally prefer and have a Logitech Dual Action Controller but it doesn't matter what brand you get as long as it plays rom games. No matter what joystick/controller you get, they all have to be installed first. Install them. Then when it's installed, click finish. The following explaination is for Windows XP, I am sorry but I don't know for MAC users or Windows ME. After it's installed click start, go to the control panel, then go to Printers and other hardware. Click on Game Controllers and you joystick/controller should be there, double click on it or click on it once and click properties. Now just test it, press the arrows, press buttons go crazy. Depending on what joystick/controller you get, it may work on the test screen and for PC games but not all controllers work for rom games, please make sure that the controller you have works for rom games.
