Get ready to Shove It! with Dreamworks' first title for the Genesis. Your challenge, as Stevedore the warehouse man, is to solve a series of complicated puzzles. The tricky part is you've got to do it by shoving a bunch of boxes into specific locations in each room. Overall, you've got to put 160 different warehouses on 16 different levels into order. With each level the difficulty of the puzzle increases. Play by yourself or match your wits against another warehouseman. The game keeps track of how many moves it takes you to solve the puzzle, so you can see who's the smartest and most efficient at Shoving It! And don't worry if you get tired out by moving all of those heavy boxes. The game lets each warehouseman take a break between warehouses to dream about wealth, cars, and their beautiful girlfriends.
Probably known to most as Soko-Ban or the GameBoy game Boxxle, this 16-Bit version stars the same workhouse assistant who must solve puzzles and put a roomful of misplaced freight back in its place. It seems a little out of place on the Genesis.
Shove It represents the 16-Bit version of the many box-pushing puzzle games that have populated the screens of the hand-held GameBoy system. For those of you unfamiliar with the genre, you must maneuver a character around a maze of boxes. Each room contains a set number of boxes, as well as target dots which the boxes must be move on top of to complete rounds. Intermissions and codes are added to play.

While it could be said that Shove It! is a nice game that's well executed, what in the world is it doing on the Genesis? It was great on the Game Boy as Boxxle, but as a 16-Bit entry it comes up way too short. Not enough of a game for the Genesis.
While puzzle games offer a new category for game systems, this niche doesn't fit the Genesis format. I love puzzle games but the average graphics and repetitive intermissions don't interest me. Its a puzzle game, but not for Genesis.
Shove It! is an O.K. game that isn't much fun as a Genesis game. With all the power that the Genesis has you expect more than just a regular puzzle game that was done just as well on the GameBoy. With a few changes it could have been better.
C'mon, please tell me you're joking! A puzzle game like this on Genesis? Well, if you want a puzzle game, then this is probably as good as you'll get, but it's boring and repetitive, even with the edit options. Color and intermissions don't save it.

What a lonely job it is being a warehouse worker! If only you had the money to win over your girlfriend and get that new sportscar. Well, here's your chance! In Shove It! you become Stevedore who must move boxes over special target dots that are all laid out within the confines of each maze-like warehouse. You must use your smarts as well as your box-moving skills if you are to complete the challenges that lay ahead! This is a puzzler with no equal and outstanding graphics as well!

This is one of those classic drive you mad puzzles, The Task sounds simple, Move the boxs to the right place and thats it!, If only it was that easy, It grows into more of a mind bender with each level passed 160 to be precise!, This really gets the grey matter sparking i would say if you like your puzzles taxing then you'll love this.

Done it at last, I have played this as a kid and thought i would never do it!, Well i am now prowd i have done it!, The easy look of this game will end at level 6+ because you really need to think about every move before you make it!, It's still worth a replay because after 160 levels you can not remember the key to each level afterwards!, Well worth the headache, And blue lanuage at myself at points in this game....
